Adwords

What is AdWords?

Google AdWords is Google’s advertising model in which businesses bid on certain keywords in order to for their ads to appear before the keywords from a Google search. Advertisers have to pay for these clicks and Google makes a lot of money from search.  It is an auction system but it is not as simple as bidding the highest, Google awards your ad a quality score and how much you will pay for your ad being clicked.

Does AdWords Work?

AdWords used to be amazing, low competitive cheap key words and ultimately very successful. These days it’s a tough business, with new businesses joining he market every day. Only the the best campaigns are profitable. Is it difficult – YES! But it still does work and if you can get the right long-tailed keyword. It can still bring in a lot of business. If every click turns into a sale – even id you are paying £1+ per click. We are sure you would agree it’s a bargain!

For the most part, we’ve found that Google AdWords is extremely effective for many kinds of businesses, as long as they don’t waste their money on the wrong keywords, or write weak, low CTR ads. Bad ads is a sure-fire way of losing a lot of money. The secret is to test everything and and always be testing out different ads/pictures and headlines to see, which ones work.
